We Catholics do not worship Mary. However, we do believe in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Read up on the early Church; this belief has always been there.

If anyone doubts just go to the scriptures!

This so called Eucharist was not involved in the original communion. But there was similar stuff that happen.
