there is no relationship between the song lyrics and the video. the lyrics are about fear of surgery and hospitals."butterfingers, i'm losing my patience" is a play on the homophones patience/patients that describes a fear of doctors becoming impatient while performing surgery, resulting in the death of the patients. get it?reread the song lyrics. references to surgery, doctors, and death should be quite obvious to you now.the video is about a moment of clarity, not superpowers (lol!)

I don't read too far into this video. It's not really like he's finally letting go at the end or anything... since he's allowing himself to be hit by cars throughout the video. I think it's just a cool video made to show another perspective on things. The character is completely vulnerable. Some people swerve, some offer help, and some assholes choose to hit him. The end is just a triumphant way of putting the driver in this man's shoes...ultimate retribution.

i couldn't explain it better myself, exactly how i interpretated it.

At the end it says "Freeing you from the burden". I think that fits better into our interpretation. He has to carry a burden, then he becomes free of it, he is no longer handicapped and can make his peace.
