The amazing thing about this commercial is the complete and total copyright mess that had to be sorted out in order to actually pull it off. The Okudagrams, the uniform, Riker's name, even the communicator button and that 'beaming' sound are all copyrighted material. It must have taken every intellectual property lawyer in California to iron this thing out. I wonder how much the company paid to Viacom/Paramount/CBS in licensing fees.
