I don't analyse, I feel, and when she sings, I feel with every part of me. Linda Perry does that in her way too.

you are most welcome! You know, when I first saw a video tape of Callas singing I expected something complex and distant that, as she taught me, was wrong.Contrary to what I thought I would see, I found a humble musician drawing, as she attested herself, every gesture and every sound from the partitura! Callas was not a singing actress. She was a Musician. everything else resulted from that simple reality.

Dear CONTESTAR,you comment is the most nice comment I ever erad about Callas, thank you!

Reading through the various comments, the drama, love and hatred are almost more passionate than Puccini at his most theatrical! Strange how this artist continues to evoke such emotions, somehow though I think it is more that Maria really takes us to the depths of the character's emotions, sometimes disturbingly so. Rise Stevens loved her and said she sang every performance giving everything, emotionally, artistically. She remains to me a voice that always moves me. Anthony Plumer

Any Woman,Man or child who can step onto any raised plateform and perform( to entertain us) is a type of super human in my book.

If you hear her properly, you just know she has surgical skills that any surgeon would envy. She jumpstarts her subjecs, locks on like an inimitable sync and vibrates voice and heart to high heaven....

I saw here do it. Yes you can analyse her to death but the fact is in the synthesis of performance there has not been anything to equal her.I love Tebaldi and Olivero and Price. But this was something that defies precedent because it was unique and original. the soap opera that surrounds this woman simply proves Shakespeare's dictum. "What great one's do, the less will prattle of.

When she became thin she looked like an hysterical witch. Her voice is so mediocre and so small and her singing is so anemic, as always weeping, her acting is so kistch... |
