You're right you can get a hood boy that's educated. My comment dealt less with location and focused on mentality. You can have a hood mentality and be no good whether you're in Bel Air or the Bronx. I am giving props to the brothers who have their minds right....who can be in the hood and not of the hood. I was raised in the projects but it never did define who I was or have become. People need to see beyond their circumstance rather than embrace it if they truly want to change.

i would like to say that you can get a hood boy thats educated, my boyfriend is from newark, nj and thats supposed to be the hood but hes getting his degree, so i dont think theres nothing wrong with a hood man when they present themselves in a proper manner.btw i like fantasia but her hair looks a mess in the video, tacky color

Ok I understand where your coming from when you say that, but what about respecting the art of the music and appreciating how this song pays homage to the Motown greats. Its obvious that that was what she was going for and undeniably and I think she deserves credit for that.

Sorry Fantasia...hood boys don't aspire to be President. I need an educated, well spoken, made mistakes but can move past them, stays out of jail, keeps a job, treats his woman like the queen she is, takes care of his kids man!
