There is an algorithm that calculates Pi that is only a couple of lines long. You can also use infinite series to get pi. Like you said Buffon's needle problem can also approx. pi.

Is that complicated? i mean the derivation of pi? I'm just curious as to how they have come up with that no. although it could be done by statistics ( measure actual objects and get the circumference:diameter ratio ).. Can you expound a bit on Jesus? you said he was the first man to divide. What do you mean about that?

Actually as far as 1994 (the year I graduated with a BS in mathematics) They do not teach a specific value for pi. I have been doing research for 14 years (no pun intended). The arithmetic behind the applications of pi is all derived from its absolute average i.e. 3.142857The standard deviation of its normal distribution being it's elemental value i.e. .023895 and it's fundamental .142857The key factor is 7Remember Jesus was the first man to divide by 14. 12 disciples, himself, and Mary Mag.

My advice is... do some extensive research and try to see if you can come up with thesame conclusion. I am researching quantities in science then i came across this alternative sciences.. its amazing how they can be fused with our physics.

hmmm.. i'm fascinated. I heard they teach in college the derivation of pi. In that sense it could be proven in few pages as it could be discussed in chalk boards. Can you give me references or links to its derivation. Pls. tnks
