so they vent it out on people of other races. But in America it's different. White Americans will hate a person of a particular race (be it black, Latino, etc.) just because they are of that race. This American could be doing very well, with a very secure livelihood. And yet he would still hate for no apparent reason. Let me give you an example, over here, some white people would simply refuse to speak to Latinos because they are Latinos.

And even if he did, he wouldn't find it amusing because to them it's meanness, pure and simple. I think BRITS are generally less racist than Americans. Their racism is more or less caused by the fact that the British economy is not doing well, the weather+food sucks, and because of depression +aggression due to the strong capitalist driven social hierarchy there. and the consequent chain of awkward events that occur. This humor is neutral. They are not attacking THE INDIVIDUAL but the awkward chain of events. Apparently, at the end of their humor even the awkward simpleton himself derives joy from realizing the comedy of his own actions. South and East Asian humor are similar. Satire simply do not exist in that part of the world. If you don't believe me, talk to an native Indian about satire, I bet you he or she wouldn't understand it.

(leaving the argument of their agricultural roots aside), seem to have a what I call constructive humor. Sure, they also make fun of the stupidity of simpletons but mixed in this is also a glorification of the simple goodness of man. Really, look at their humor closely. I know other Europeans call it earthy but in it is something that is actually constructive. They don't bitterly attack others in their humor like the British.Arabic humor is more geared toward simpleton's awkwardness and

hmm...this is actually very interesting. Although I agree with you on the fact that all humor at least pokes fun at something,it varies in its degree of acidity and intent. British humor, from what I see is entirely devoted to implicitly exposing the subject's most vulnerable weak spots. The more tacit the better. Thus, the initiator derives joy in two parts. First, from attacking the subject implicitly through words, exposing his/her/it most vulnerable aspects. And second, deriving

I'll tell you why we never adopted constructive humour that grants joy to both parties because Brits comedy fits the way of the world: where someone gains someone loses. Personally I would like to know 1st: Who are 'both parties'? next Do you know how rude and racist BRITS are?! I can't walk into school without overhearing some racist remark! But America does actually show a good tep of change in the form of Obama so be thankful.Lastly I'd like to see examples of YOUR type of humour to compare.
