This movie implies that there is a parallel universe where people's fantasies and inner desires materialize. The DC mini created a portal between this world and ours. only the strongest of minds can stand above the ensuing chaos. The Chairman's will to dominate all life threatens to cast the world into Darkness. However, the Chairman's megalomaniacal aspirations are ultimately overpowered by Chiba's desire to live out the rest of her life with Tokita. Thus, true love wins out in the end.
