Morris, Prince and Alex all went to high school together along with Andre Cymone who is Prince's cousin or something. Alex had the op to be lead singer of The Time, but he and Prince had a falling out so Morris go the nod. Alex remained on good terms with Jimmy[Jam] & terry[Lewis] The rest is history
