Right conner, nothing special, just a killer rhythm section...man, I would listen to a Lewis-Heath-Kay trio all day!

Without Milt Jackson, a true jazz giant, M.J.Qwould not have been anything special. The introduction claims they filled a need to add aew dimensions to jazz rather than improvising popular ballads but those ballads still dominate and remain jazz's most popularmedium. e.g. the Diana Krall success story.

The song is called 'Django'. Check out Joe Pass's version of it on his 'For Django' album.

While i do agree with you the only true way for every body to respect each others music is to do eactly that: respect what people are trying to achieve. As they say - One mans trash is another mans treasure. It can be applied to music as well. The problem is to many people make ignorant judgments on styles before they truely listen to what is going on in a tune. |
