romanian is a LATIN based language! true that it has his slavic influence ... even german/hungarian influence from zone to zone, but it is still a LATIN based language!

this ain`t romanian folklore! this is gypsy music with a lot of influence from all Balkans.closer to what u have meant are Faramita Lambru, Orchestra Paraschiv Oprea, Dona Dumitru Siminica, Ilinca Nitulescu, Gabi Lunca, etc. These are old party singers (lautari, muzica lautareasca). These could be called folfklore.True that Fanfare Ciocarlia is awesome! but maybe later, like 50-80 years from now they will enter folklore. But I doubt it ....
