It has nothing to do with the government, onstar is a corporation.

I like the idea of using a military minigun to shoot at hi-jacked cars. Neutralize the subject- forget all that high speed chasing crap. Use a turbocharged pickup truck with a .50 cal mounted on the top and 500lbs of bullets... that would curb car jackers. I'd stop virtually all high speed chases in less than 30 days.

I don't think this will work very well... how many high speed chases involve new vehicles? Not many.

If someone stole my EC-145 and I could shut down the engines remotely, I would be very pleased with the outcome. :)

If high speed pursuits become extinct, won't Fox's daytime programming do the same?

The way I see it.Some young angry kid shuts down your engine in the middle of the road with just a laptop.. Or his father rams your car while running from cops the other day.. Uhmm... I'm so confused o.O

puleeze. Just what I'd need.. to be on vacation, driving across Arizona and the OnStar system jackup and slow my vehicle. I wouldn't have such crap on my vehicle if someone paid me to. Car gets stolen? So what!! I'll let the insurance company deal with it- that's what I pay all that damn money for in the first place! |
