This is a pretty good adaptation if I say so myself. It doesn't capture the books description though. But this is nearly as good as V for Vendetta.

yeah...this movie sucked rather largley. GREAT book though....which is why the movie ruined it. ;_;

In Winston and Julia's case though (and anyone the Police caught) it appears they could even read you thoughts, so lying didn't work. LOL i think Winston tried it with O Brien and wound up being tortured even more!
