i have tried pyro before and made the candlke go out but only once the other times i could only make it flicker

Personally I'll directly state how absent minded whomever must possibly be to say that it's a possibility someone had breathed on the flame to strengthened the fire. Pity, that would work if carbon dioxide fueled fire and that's exactly what we breathe out not in. Secondly I do doubt that the motion of their hands has anything to do with the stength of the fire as well due to the fact that the fire grows stronger even when their hands aren't moving.

well there are different forms or pryokinesis one being the ability to make and control fire(the type your thinking of) but a less destructive form being only able to control fire but not capable of starting it. you usually see these people carrying around lighters and just playing with them (x-men 2). i hope that tells you why he used a match in the 1st place.

If they did really have pyrokinesis then they should able to do that then they should be able to produce there own fire maybe not a big spiraling ball, But a little spark and they should be able to put out that candle with the same kinda method she used
