Violence in comics is pretty much all good. It's what the medium is pretty much based on. Be it over the top zombie dismemberments to serial killers and thrill killers, that's all good. I don't dig rape. Violence is fine when the reader doesn't feel that it's real (even serial killers, cause how many do we really meet every day?). Rape is flat out evil and should be off limits cause the odds of it happening are too great and we all probably know one person who has been so it's not entertaining.

I dont really believe in too much violence. I dont think that violence in comics, movies and videogames is really doing as much damage as some might say. That being said I prefer when violence and gore is used more sparingly because it is more shocking when one character dies then when there is constant death in the background. Also violence and action is often used as a crutch for lazy writers.

If a comic book had bad drawings but a good story would you still buy it

Don't!!!! It builds up and builds up and, y'know, you get soooo into it, but then all of a sudden it starts sucking, like, big time (that's volume 13 or 14 I think), and the conclusion is probably the biggest let down ever! Seriously! |
