I must ask, did you actually listen to the words? She sings very early on how she's "Forced to bend my soul to a sordid role". Later she sings, "Observe how bravely I conceal the dreadful, dreadful shame I feel". Not having any real fun? She's not SUPPOSED to be having fun! The whole point is she's pretending to laugh when all she wants to do is scream. And this she does... marvelously. "Hysterical", "not cool"... your criticism is in fact a huge compliment to her performance!
