If you notice carefully, he does a couple runs which involve hammering the bottom two strings and letting them ring open. It sounds like the low string was an E and the 2nd string was a B.Of course, I can't say anything for certain, and I certainly don't contest the fact that it's really rather irrelevant; the music is incredible.

i agree with you but i was refering to the tunning he was in =) not the key thought the tunning sounded like open F, ethier way its beautifull and thats an understatment.
