I didn't mean to say that all highly religious people are against these things, just those few or many that are actually against it. I hope that people who are really devoted in their religion didn't think I was including them in the list. I just want people to correct those who believe that robots will take over by saying:"Robots are almost like slaves, they will only do what they are told to do. If they do kill people, it is those people, not the robots. You don't blame the gun, do you?"

Most of the religious people I know, not all, are against any genetic engineering, and I don't know about their opinion on humanoid robotics, as they never speak of them. When they speak about their beliefs, they say about how everyone should "join them and go with God". They don't really say anything directly unless something actually is made. I hope to rid the world of this belief that robots will kill us all one day and replace it with the truth.Sorry if I offended anyone before.

That's great that you have that firm belief. I hope that you use it to investigate what religious people really do believe, before "going against" them with negative comments. I've actually never heard any hard statements for or against robotics from the religious speakers I've heard. Perhaps the religious could see building robots as imitating a Creator, in much the same way that Creator had made them. |
