Wolf played fairly simple harp, but brilliantly. Nothing fancy. But deep, distinctive tone--pull your tongue back in your mouth, down into your throat, for his vibrato--and I wouldn't change a thing.

Adam,I'm really getting into your lessons here, and they've inspired me to further my study of the harp, and I'm working on getting a few to start off on. Sounds like some great recommendations you've given on who to listen to as you progress along. The main artist I have available to me at the moment would be Howlin' Wolf. I'm curious as to your take on using him as a reference point.

Nice to hear you give Paul Butterfield his props. (He's my first and foremost influence, still). I'm SO tired of the "just copied Little Walter" rag.

I play blues guitar and im just picking up the harp. people keep telling me to go and play shows like you said also in this vid, but I don't get why, Im just curious because I just really enjoy playing and I don't really feel a need to go play for people
