Oh, this used to scare the crap out of me! And we didn't have a remote so there was no way to avoid it. It never failed to scare me more than whatever terrible movie they were showcasing.

The best intro in the history of TV. It was scarier then the movie they would show. I remember going into school the next Monday and all the kids would do "the chiller" with there hands behind their desks....LOL!

I used to try to watch it when I was a little kid, in the 70's (I don't think it made it into the 80s), and if my mom heard the opening, she would run in and change the channel, because if I watched Chiller Theater, I always had nightmares!! LOL. I LOVE how the hand has 6 fingers, and you don't really notice it at first. VERY CREEPY! Great childhood memories, being scared out of my WITS by some of the shows they aired!! =0D
