I can listen to this song over and over. It takes me back to the summers of my youth and early adulthood -- a much simpler time in my life. Love her voice.

Yeah, I always got The Motels, Quarterflash and Till Tuesday mixed up. I always thought they were related in one way or another.Either way I am too lazy to fix it so it stays :)

yes, this song is one of the ones that really hits me. It is not considered a classic by many, but to me it could sum up those breezy, sunny and optimistic days of my youth- the 80's. They would never make a video like this today. Mundane but profound!

I feel the same way. I "grew up" in the 90s. All my friends remember Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots. But music from the first nine years of my life hits so much harder. I don't even know what I'm nostalgic for when I hear this song. It always reminds me something is missing, but I feel close to that something when I hear this song.

Is the guy on the beach the guy from Revenge of the Nerds (Louis)?

Yes! There are still a few songs that do that to me. It makes me a little sad.
