Pat's Remember , has the guitar too buried in the mix. No pop, and it just doesn't separate from the rest of the players. Tom Waits took his style to the max on Real Gone, with overloading the mic, and on repeated playing, it doesn't work. One can go too far with their own sonics, because they hear what they are doing, cause they are playing it. It doesn't always translate onto media. El Hombre has much more accessible tone. A good pesto has a little moisture content to deliver the flavor....

I had the great privilege to study privately with Pat in 1977 a few years before he had the aneurism and had to stop playing. What an amazing concept he has...and a very nice guy. Today he sounds better than ever!
