ya i like that he has a good attitude and can take it when he gets hit and does not make it his goal to hurt them. thats how you play hockey cuz its all part of the game.

I'm sure games in canada have a very rowdy atmosphere considering their love of checking and fighting. That's just not what I enjoy about hockey. Gretzky made skill cool, so get used to it.

phanuef has a good attitude he doesn't get pissed off at someone and go after them if they hit him clean or dirty and he never talks shit but at the same time he's physical

Tell that to Mike Babcock after game 5.

There's a big difference between the refs in regular season, and the refs in the playoffs. I've said before i expected pitts to win, through timely officiating. To dredge up some more stats, Detroit had the lowest pim/g at 11.4 in the reg season. 2nd in pp opp. in 12 for times shorthanded. but all that counts for shit come playoffs.

the only 'expert' on the rules is the monkey in charge, Gary 'let's change the rules so Sidney can win the cup, bloat the league to 30 teams, water down the talent with expansion, have the all-star game on wednesday, amputate the 'c' in hockey, leaving hokey' Bettman. I'm sure, in the ref's dressing room, there's a red phone. I'm just bored, and it's hard to have much of a heated debate with fans of your own team. And so far, Detroit fans haven't disappointed.

Always?Calgary had 2 games in the playoffs were they didn't get a pp until the 3rd.I've also watched a couple of Edmonton games against Anaheim, I think (Maybe San Jose or Dallas, on of those south teams) and the oilers didn't get a powerplay. not one. not even a stupid, dumb ass hooking call that the league has become famous for.

well if you haven't noticed, the refs always favor the underdog. in that case, they're always making the bad calls against the wings. in game 5 of the finals, pittsburgh had 4 powerplays during the 3 overtimes. one of them being a 4 min. |
