No we mean "Graphic novel".Comic books are printed weekly to monthly,Were as Graphic Novels are compalations of a series of comic books printed as One big book when a story or series is finnished.

Have you read American Gods, Good Omens, or any of the Sandman graphic novels (comics, maybe, I'm not sure of the classificatios)? Those are some of his best, after all.
