Thats not all Petco!!! I used to work at the petco in N.Y.C. and it was always clean. We always made sure that the animals were fed daily and checked if they had any types of illness. But thats just my store i cant talk for every store in the nation. Fish dies everyday so its common you will find 3 or 4 tanks with dead fish in it. Only way other fish will die if you do not take the dead ones within atleast 24 hours. Thats the only way other fish will start to die. PETSMART steals idea from PETCO

People need to go to a real pet store not a big ass Franchise pet store like Petco! They hire a bunch of min wage teens that dont know jack shit about taking care of animals. Real pet store are owned and operated by individual that dedicate their lives to sell animals for a living and they do take care of their animals. Well the pet store I go to, I cant really back up the others.

this is actually very typical of petco locations ..petco, you ought to be ashamed, i went into one of your stores today and saw that the reptiles and their enclosures were in unacceptable conditions, the reptiles had no heat source whatsoever "which is crucial for there survival" cages were at 65 degrees, which is way below the corrects temps, cages were full of feces, no clean water, absolutely unacceptable.

I know right petco is awsome the one by me has dog trainers,vets that give free check-ups I've only seen one sick animal ever in petco thay take awesome care of there animals well atleast my one does thay use-to suck at caring for there animals but then thay got a new owner now there awesome
