Yeah mate, go with a mig save up and buy one. For doing body work, mig will be heaps easier. With the stick welder or arc welder what ever ya want to call it you're going to run the risk of having slag inclusions in ya weld then youll have to grind it out and do it again its just a pain in the arse especially if your doing car bodies. Bottom line is, save up and buy a mig itll be more expensive but it will be worth it.

I was thinking of getting an ARC welder for some body work on my car. Whats the difference between an arc and a mig other than price. Everyone recomends a mig or tig. I dont have the $ for those. Campbell housefield has one for $100.00. What do you guys think?
