dumb cluck? and yes...burn fuels...there are going to be cleaner alternatives. check out Harry Schoells clean running steam engine, he's adapting it for a lawnmower. and for family...who's whining...i'm stating a fact!! and again, im not a sheep blindly following along w/ the pack, i work in the industry drilling wells for nat. gas and oil (ironically right now i'm doing oilsands work) so validity....i know exactly what goes on....do you?

You made no mention of new technology that is allowing colder process temps and as a result less external energy processing inputs. You tresspass on industrial sites, stand on unprocessed sand and say this "sucks". Gotta love it when those with absolutley no real world expierience take up the role of professional activist. This is just another cut and paste on the worst rips on the oilsands. You claim to have researched this from all angles, you didn't. No mention of aboriginals who are partners, no mention that reclamation is taking place and certifications granted. You claim an areathe size of Florida has been decimated it has not,thats only the size of the deposit, most is too deep and requires SAGD.

Whoever created this video is a douchebag. This is the best thing to happen to Alberta. Ft Mac is sitting on the most oil in the world and some tool art student with a camera complaining about it isn't going to change the fact that theres money to be made and oil to keep in North America. Do everyone a favor and go into a bar there and complain and see the bottles start flying at your face

I don't know where they got that statistic but, Fort McMurray is not responsible for 2/3 of Canada's greenhouse gas emissions. The idea that a city of 80,000 is responsible for 2/3 of all emissions for a country of 30 million is completely ridiculous. Please check your facts. |
