these are very good points - the movie portrayed the king as being a bit dull and unable to think for himself - he was very easily influenced by his advisers to fund the revolution, even though their argument for it was pretty flimsy - anyone with half a brain could have countered it, but the king accepted it without question.although young and innocent, marie seemed to be pretty out of touch with her country, was sh really raised to be a monarch?
