Nice that Shirley hold back the drama and just sang straight and beautiful, and not too loud.The choir was a bit timid were they not? The event is very sympathetic.

They aren't "afrikan" people. They're Jamaican, which means that they're multiracial with a BRITISH heritage/culture. Jamaica includes caucasians, Chinese, middle eastern, Afro-Carribean people, Arawak Indian and a mix of all of the above and then some; you name it--it's not racially monolithic. Jamaica was a British colony before independence. Just because the skin is brown does not mean that Grampa didn't look like, say, Peter O'Toole. You keep putting your foot in deeper.
