Great video, thanks for posting it! I bet you were so excited! I always wanted to visit the South Pole. I was a big fan of the spooky movie THE THING (1982). My dreams changed paths when I decided to teach English literature. I couldn't figure out a way to come to the South Pole with my degree:( I hope you had a great time down there and thank you again for posting your videos!PS Who knows? Maybe someday the penguins will want to study Dickens. If so, I'm FIRST IN LINE!

wow, absolutely amazing. I read "Ice Bound" a book written by the doctor who got breast cancer a few years back when she was wintering over and was instantly interested in the south pole. Since then I've read Amundsen's account of the polar expedition in the Fram. It's my dream to visit one day, but alas I'm a linguistics and math major.. not much need for that down there... sigh.
