i love this song (:, and we know his dad said that but that's because his dad didn't like the lyrics of his songs because they didn't think it was necassery.

not necessarily....marvin was on drugs terrible...and if you dont kno,drug addicts can be TERRIBLE... to make a long story short, during a dispute his father said "I BROUGHT YOU IN THIS WORLD, I'LL TAKE YOU OUT"...

I agree with you. This song is my all time fav track of all time. Im white too, doesnt matter one bit, its the music that counts. Every time I listen to this I feel like dancing and it brings back such good memories. Marvin is missed, like so many great artists. His music lives on and to be loved and enjoyed. Go play it

Marvin was murdered by his father on April 1, 1984. I'll never forget that day cause it was the day of my grandmother's funeral.
