Here's my opinion on this.Firstly,i don't live in either country so i don't feel i'm biased.Viennese waltz movements are basically expected to be the same in the first place. The costumes were different,the australian one bringing out more sophistication while the american one bringing out more elegance.The choreograpy is different in many ways, the style the choreographers wanted to put onto the dancers are different.Both have different qualities.Basically,i don't feel anyone copied anyone.

Dare I point out that the Australian one was performed on the 17th of February 2008, and the American one on the 18th of June 2008. In other words, the US version came 4 months after the Australian one.So regardless of which one is better, if one did copy off the other, blame the Americans for lack of creativity.
