Yes, Monument Valley has been used in many movies, especially John Ford westerns. It's also been used in a large number of commercials.

as a child running around at my grandmothers house I use to look toward the ranger station and think when they will build a theme park.(When you look down the valley you could see the houses and the road that leads to the houses)Now when ever i go home, the motel is just an eye sore.I mean everthing is in its nature except this big building.I just came from there yesterday and know i might be going back and sell handmade dine' jewelries in a couple days and maybe i will see you there.

i go here like every year. the only thing that really sucks is that they had an amazing campground with s SPECTACULAR view but they tore it down to make room for a hotel. not the campground is just like 3 portapottys, some picnic tables, and dirt. you just park and pitch your tent wherever. :(

Don't forget that Navajo time is not the same as daylight savings in the states. I beleive N. time is one hour later. Be sure to check before you go to national parks there. some are closed until may, etc.
