if any of you have the chance read her autobio "faithfull" she was a baroness's daughter who lived with mick jagger for 4 yrs then lived on the streets then came threw the other side thankfully. i saw her in 05 here in hollywood and she was amazing. she had breast cancer around that time and i believe a heart attack. (she smoked like a damn chimney) anyway she was in marie antionette as kirsten dunst's mom, and recently irina palm where she jacks off men to get cash for her dying grandson. eric

shit man, didn't know this, always loved Marianne after hearing 'broken english'... knew she had had a troubled life but weren't aware of this. absolutely heartfelt song not like a lot or some of the shit made now.

Marianne's boyfriend was cheating on her when she was out in the middle of nowhere recording this album. Aside from being a heroin addict at the time and at one time living on the streets a junkie for 2 years. This song makes me thing about the man she fell for in rehab and they ended up living together on like the 30th floor of some apartment building and Marianne was calling for him and he had jumped to his death. Goddamn this lady has been through HELL. Eric.
