Totally, people keep bashing him constantly. They tend to compare him to Gilmour all the time. I do think DAve is better, but Snowy did his job quite good most of the times. Have you heard his solo in the unreleased full lenght version of Pigs on the wind? AWESOME!!. True, he screwed up a few Gilmour solos in the In the flesh concert (Waters, 2000) like SOYCD, but his original contributions in Set the Controls, Money and others in the same concert are good enough for my taste.

100% correct. For proof of the pudding listen to the video I uploaded of David Gilmour playing with a band put together by Pete Townshend. It is far better than this and makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.Search for David Gilmour - Comfortably numb

My sources are the album covers and the book Pink Floyd: Reflections and Echoes (Mctavish et al), as well as doccumentaries such as the VH1 Rock Legends Pink Floyd doc and the Dark Side of the Moon "Classic Albums" Review, among others. Waters did compose more songs than the listed here, but he didnt composed them "entirely", most cases he only wrote lyrics on those.I respect and admire Roger, to me he is the best lyricist in rock history, but im sick of seeing people give him all the credit.

Themes composed and lyricized solely by Waters per album:PAGOD 1 of 10;Saucerful of secrets 2 of 7;More 6 of 12;Ummagumma everyone was given the same time, others did instrumental suites,he did 2 songs and a sound experiment;Atom Heart Mother 1 of 5;Relics 2 of 12;Meddle 1 of 6,Obscured by clouds 1 of 10;Dsotm 4 of 10.Wish you were here 2 of 5, 2 of the other 3 being SOYCD, being much richer musically and longer in time.Animals 2 of 3, The Wall all -3 and The final Cut all.

Other great Pink Floyd classics are credited as TEAMWORK composition, such as A saucerful of Secrets, The Atom Heart MOther Suite, Echoes, Breathe, DOgs, etc. That mean each of them made a contribution to the basic structure of the song, as well as the arrangement each contributed in their instrument. It is not fair to give Waters all the credit, he was a very good lyricist, but not a great singer or instrumentist and just an average composer compared to the others.
