The 'signature' that atheists/agnostics have been wanting in order for them to believe has been found! And of all places...the signature of Jesus Christ as Lord and Maker of the Universe rests in cellular bilogy. Atheists have assumed biology would disprove God's existence; but in fact it has done just the opposite. It is apparent that God does have a wonderful sense of humor, and God, it seems, is not without a sense of irony.Check out my favorites "Louie Giglio - Laminin.Peace

Religion will always fail in explaining the meaning of life. Religions like christianity and islam, place more importance on the supernatural and the afterlife. This however assumes that we deserve more than this life. What most people fail to consider, is that we are already "blessed" just to be alive as conscious human beings. This is the greatest gift in the universe because no other form of matter has the ability to be aware of nature's grandeur. It is incredibly arrogant of us to assume

that we deserve more. Screw heaven, this life is already the greatest thing in the universe. We should all be much more grateful and we should make the best of this life while we still have the chance.

All, check out the video "Lou Giglio Laminin" under my favorites!!I am most interested in atheist/agnostic/Christian perspective after watching this video. The whole video is incredible but its the latter BIOLOGY portion that is most germane to the atheist/agnostic questions about the existence of Jesus as God.I just found this today and any debate on Jesus as God needs to reconcile this video against the position of 'non-belief'Peace in Christ...

Yeah, I did find it kinda weird that you were responding to my critique of Dennett's opening statements and his rebuttals by talking about America's global reputation. That doesn't really have anything to do with anything. But again, watch CaptainGhoul's responce video to Dennett's moments in the spotlight, and you'll see what I mean. The guy is all over the place. He probably still has nightmares about this debate.

D'Sousa is a cocksucking douche

Excuse me, I didn't notice that you aren't in fact the same person who I had originally responded to. But either way, your problems with Dennett obviously differ from what his problems were. But the first two sentences of my last post should be ignored by you, since I thought I was addressing someone else.

If your initial problem was with Dennett's REBUTTAL, why are the examples you cite as pointless in his OPENING STATEMENT which was BEFORE D'Souza's opening statement? Perhaps you didn't watch the videos in the right order. And how can you possibly disagree that American ignorance of other cultures is a major problem? A big reason every country in the damn world hates America is because we think we're too badass to worry about learning other cultures.

Wrong. Dennett wastes his time with his senseless PowerPoint presentation on different beliefs, his pointless John Frum example, his fooling argument for teaching religious trifles in grade school. I'm not talking about his stammering (which isn't that helpful either), but the substance of his arguments and his stupid random facts. Watch CaptainGhoul's response video to Dennett's opening statement, and you'll see what a douche he was for being so docile and family-friendly in his OP.

Bad debating does not equal douche-ness. Bad delivery does not entail lack of substantial content. FedEx may be slow as hell with your package, but if it gets there, the job was done. Anyone who can get past the alleged stammering and stuttering and actually focus on what he was saying should be able to notice that he addressed the points that were worth addressing, and adequately so. |
