Nazism was based on a creationist mythos with the best of intentions for the German race. Scientologists capitalise on their therapeutic enterprise to gain increased influence and support, and use charismatic figures to spread a completely untestable set of beliefs. It is unhealthy to pervade such questionable views, and irresponsible to believe they rise above the understanding of qualified doctors and therapists. Why did Tom Cruise get that absurd medal and not some care worker in Africa?

Well, I don't know of scientology being guilty of any crimes. I would even suspect that part of their large monetary intake goes into positive pursuits, given that many scientologists are people that have expressed very positive views about life and society. True, they use brainwashing techniques and are fanatical about their views, but none of this can compare to the terrible aims and philosophy of nazism. Sorry, but I don't see how you can compare those two.

Why? They're both cults that employ psychological control through theatricality and pseudo-religious propaganda. Additionally, scientology has all the features of an aggressive power base of authority.

I think Spock is there as part of the satire. Scientology believes in extraterrestrials. Vulcans do believe in purging all emotions. To believe in Xenu is logical? I don't know. A Scientologist is a weird sonofabitch.
