It's quite simple, the jetski gets him up to speed with the wave, he lets go and the wave propels him the rest of the way. He doesn't fall off his board because he's "strapped" in. Look at his feet, you'll see the black straps. Not impossible but only the best can do it. The angle of the shot makes the wave look higher than 60 feet if that's what you're referring. It is real, rent Billabong Odyssey and you'll know. Rent Riding Giants too.
