Tesla's already gearing up a 4 door sedan that will cost a lot less. How many jobs will you create drilling? Int'l oil companies will have the rigs built elsewhere w/ cheap labor and perhaps a few Americans can work on them. The number of jobs produced by drilling would be maybe a few hundred. And I've been thinking of electric cars ever since the Kyoto accords. I don't know why I'm talking to you, though. Anyone deadset on drilling is too fucking stupid for intelligent conversation.

Is Mc Donald's greedy, is Wal-mart greedy? You're a funny guy.

Go get one then! They're only about 100,000 dollars.Yea' that's going to help people that are struggling to make ends meet. You have any idea how long you would have to drive that car to even save a dime? About 15 to 20 years! You can create more jobs drilling than producing cars that most Americans can afford. We will always need oil so why not market it, our Democratic congress is whats getting in the way of drilling. Be honest if gas was $1.50 a gallon you wouldn't even think of electric cars!

You really should get that lump looked at. It could be a cancerous tumor from all those diesel and gasoline fumes!

Yes Wal-mart is greedy. When a company negates a social conscious and instead cuts every corner possible, like using slave labor, polluting beyond legal levels and paying the fines instead of fixing the problem then that IS greed. If you ran your collision shop like some big corpiration, you would probably dump your used oil down the drain or in the back stream, to save a few bucks. If you did that I'd call you greedy just like them.

Electric cars would need only trace amounts of petroleum, and we might even become energy independent with them. Why do you hate the idea of energy independence? Why do you hate the idea of jobs created with an electric car industry? Why do you love the oil industry which is a monopoly? You're the one that's hateful of capitalism - you love corporatism.

Moron, it's a world business. It means that drilling offshore for small reserves will do little to alleviate our gas prices at home. Oil has NOTHING to do with the free market. Shell and BP and Exxon don't compete for customers. They act in unison. It's an effective monopoly. Why are you too stupid to see that?

Dude you must of smoked crack before your comment! Get off your mom's computer go back to school and learn something!
talllikelurchis (August 27, 2008 at 2:45 am)
How's that going to help poor families that cannot afford to purchase these cars and have to rely on gasoline> Pelosi has a lot at stake as she has invested large amounts in companies like these......Who do you think her concerns are?
talllikelurchis (August 27, 2008 at 2:43 am)
Everyone uses oil Democrats and Republicans......I can't understand the big conspiracy! Greedy corporations? Any business goes into business to make a profit,in America it's called capitalism....Are all businesses "greedy"....Is McDonald's greedy, Is Wal-Mart greedy? I have a small collision shop and try to make a profit, that makes me greedy? Do you even understand the meaning of free market, the demands that require supply and how it is marketed! Democrats are always screaming conspiracy! |
