In this clip, James Randi duplicates a feat by Uri Geller in which he moves a compass needle, supposedly with the power of his mind. Yeah, right...

Bending spoons! Could there be a more retarded super-power to have in this world!? Angels (or whoever) appear and say "I bestow upon thee the greatest power known to the mortal world-you SHALL bend spoons!" Not the ability to fly, to heal, to gain knowledge of ANYTHING worth knowing-no, they cross the ethereal plane just so this dick wad can mess up my culinary set! And people buy it!!! Hell, I'd be amazed if he could bend a butter knife!

And what if he is? If he can do it without any abilities, what does that say about Gellar?

how is it possible for a person like you to get so far off the point and be so closed minded?

If it can be done by trickery then the most rational explanation is that Geller did it using trickery. The day he comes up with something that can not be done with trickery he'll be recognized.

Believers in Geller's nonsense often point out that he never makes big claims and that words are put into his mouth by others. Interesting that here he specifically says "this is not a trick"He lies, as he always has.

"Randi hasnt proven anything only showing that he can duplicate Geller"Here's a novel idea: why don't psychics do things that have NOT been standard magic tricks for decades? Why not use their psychic-telekinetic-whatever-bullshit to do something that would make Randi say "wow, I never saw THAT in a joke shop before."

Randi is a science man...he follows precise scientific observations to prove his points...while Geller is a Con-artistwho use visual distraction and optical illusion and some other cheap tricks to prove his so called paranormal power!!?the easiest way to uncover the trick is to watch this video muted and watch Geller's hand deliberately approching the compass between 0:12 and 0:24...so the connection between the hand and the sudden change is so obvious !!!

Randi hasnt proven anything only showing that he can duplicate Geller...Randi is an atheist..

It's not in his clothes although you have the right idea. Notice how the compass moves only when uri lowers his head towards it. It's in his hair. Randi has it in his clothes as he's as bald as a coot.

At :25 you can see how the compass moves along with Geller's hand and body getting closer, then goes back as he leans back. Obviously, as Randi showed, a hidden magnet - like sewn into the end of the shirt sleave - would have this effect.
