heath ledger was good as the joker because he has pure acting talent, not because of a drug addiction or any of the other stupid shit that you suggested. he took his craft seriously enough to create a character that would live up to that in the comic book. so fuck you for saying that heath ledger was only good because of an addiction. and p.s. there is nothing wrong with an addiction. so stop being a judgemental douchebag.

Dude, if you don't know what you're talking about then don't speak. Ledger wasn't a drug addict, he passed away because he was taking two different types of prescribed drugs to help him sleep because he had been having problems sleeping. The mixture of the two drugs however killed him. It wasn't anything like cocaine or meth or any other real hardcore drug you make it out to be.

The Joker has nothing to do with drugs. He's a mass murderer but in no way is a drug addict. And Chris Nolan who is one of the most respected directors in Hollywood thought Ledger was an amazing actor (which is why he cast him as The Joker) as did many critics including Ebert and Roeper, and actors like Sean Penn and DDL and Cate Blanchett. Let's face it, all those people know much more about acting then both of us combined. Ledger transformed himself for the Joker.. laugh, voice and mannerisms.

Ledger looks outstanding as The Joker, his transformation for Joker is some serious Daniel Day Lewis caliber stuff, new voice, new laugh, new mannerisms, his whole presence as Joker is perfect. No winder Chris Nolan said he would be brilliant. Even DDL said Ledger was fantastic.
