Good to see about 4000 people have seen this video, I hope many more do but more than that I hope something gets done.

I'm in favor of federal appropriations, but we can't be serious if bills are filled with pork and not resources for these schools. I think you would be shocked at the amount of money SC spends each year on road projects. Roads should pay for themselves; that's how most major cities have it devised. SC should put up tolls on 501 for the many out-of-state travelers headed to Myrtle Beach each year.....I better stop now.

I went to school in what is now Marion District 7. This is an outrage. Gov. Sanford hasn't done anything to raise awareness about the issue. Certainly the tax funding must be changed, but there must be outreach to the local and national business community, economic and education development foundations, and federal government.

I can tell you this....I went to J.V. Martin that is in the video. It is a mess. Its cold and wet inside. Our auditorium has had broken windows for years. No one has ever replaced those broken windows. Barack Obama paid a visit to J.V. Martin last week and He said that J.V. Martin had been left behind. it is the oldest school in the state of South Carolina. Children have been left behind. The children of SOuth Carolina need helpW!

Using property taxes to determine school budget allocations is an outdated way of funding education. Big changes need to be made to funding formulas in many states. Go out and visit schools from poor and wealthier districts and see for yourself how unequal the schools are.

This is a shocking revelation. Very well done, and I am finding true. Everyone should view this to see the conditions of children who are still being "left behind"!
