"Spielberg" this is a great video. Liked it very much, although shame about the circumstances. In reply to pwange0013 and qwerty3008 both planes are capable. From my military days the Greeks liked to use the PLB370 ridged raider for most things. Undoubtedly these would have been wholly inadequate in fighter raging forest fires.

well you need to know that personally I LOVE the CL-415 because of the fact it is not an aircraft with a RETROFITTED system, it was DESIGNED to be nothing BUT a firefighter. All I was saying is "send everyone to help" type of thing.I meant well. Also older airliners being used are okay BUT stresses on OLD aluminum wellllllllll.......

CL-415's are far more manuverable. And don't have that pesky jet lagg like the others. Suck to hit a downdraft low to the ground when the jets are spooled down.

not better. just MORE water, and fires are out faster.

What makes you think those planes are better?

fire is sometime part of natural cycle... at least here in Canada but it suck too much for those century old vineyard and olive three.

They should also have called in the EVERGREEN 747 water bomber, the BE-200, and the IL-76. |
