Grandissimo maestro Del Monaco.

Spectacular. The part when he sings Desdemona, Desdemona and sobs got me and the end when he stabbed himself. Wow! De Monaco must of possed the soul of a great Shakesperean actor.

Absolutely the greatest Otello I ever hope to see or hear. Am I alone in thinking Del Monaco's live performances are far superior to his studio recordings? I don't think the microphones could do justice to this voice, and he didn't have the stage to inspire him.
