I was in the stands that day on turn two.I left with 20 laps to go,to beat the traffic. From where I was I couldn't see the start /finish line anyway.

Damn power steering. I remember watching this live with a buddy who had never watched a race and after that he became a fan.

I'm biased, but I still think this is arguably the best finish in NASCAR history. And I love the exchange between Mike Joy and Darrell Waltrip right after the finish: (Joy) "Have you ever? ..." (Waltrip) "No, I've never!" ... Absolute classic. ... And, sadly, the races just aren't the same anymore. I miss the drivers of just a few years ago, and I really dislike the "Car of Tomorrow" template.

I remember that race, it was then and I think will forever be one of the most if not the most exciting finishes ever in racing history. Still gives me goose bumps!!!
